Privacy Policy

CostXray is a free spending habit calculator. The short version: your calculator inputs never leave your browser. We don't collect, store, or transmit anything you type into our calculators.

What we collect

• Google Analytics 4 — anonymous page view data, browser type, device type, and general location (country/city level). IP addresses are anonymised. We use this to understand which calculators are most useful and how to improve the site.
• Google AdSense — places ads on the site. AdSense may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
• Server logs — our host (Netlify) keeps standard request logs (IP, timestamp, URL, user agent) for security purposes.

What we do NOT collect

• Your calculator inputs — these are processed locally in your browser and never sent to us.
• Your name, email, or any identifying information. CostXray has no user accounts.
• Any data from other tabs or outside the CostXray page.

Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may set third-party cookies. You can control these through your browser settings or via the Google opt-out tools above.

Children's privacy

CostXray does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Since we collect no personal data through the calculators, this site is safe for all ages.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the site means you accept any updates.
